Move forward as Freight Forwarder at DSV in ‘s-Heerenberg

Taking responsibility for a smooth and correct flow of your customers’ transports: you’re on it.

How you do this? You check all shipment details, follow customer instructions and ensure that all information is accurately recorded in the system. You verify the required customs documents and CMRs and forward the order to one of our carriers. At the same time, you coordinate with colleagues from the expedition department. Meanwhile, customer service is requesting a spot quote may ask you to provide a rate for an international return shipment.

Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for a  smooth booking process for all our transports. You make sure shipments depart on time, arrive on time and are handled flawlessly from an administrative perspective. You achieve this by:

• proactively following up on and communicating the status and progress of transports with customers, carriers and internal departments;
• booking transport across various modalities;
• preparing and maintaining overviews and reports.

You bring

• demonstrable and up-to-date knowledge of the international transport market; knowledge of other modalities such as ocean freight is a plus;
• a high level of independence; you will be joining an experienced team of freight forwarders;
• good command of both the Dutch and English languages;
• a structured and accurate way of working.
