Procurement Specialist for project transport solutions

Job Req Number:  25757

Do you have experience with international sourcing? And are you ready for your next challenge? Then look no further!

As part of DSV’s Renewable Energy department, you will be a key player in establishing supplier framework agreements as well as buying and optimising solutions for wind turbine transports.

“You’ll get to make your mark on the buying strategy and operations in a brand-new team. And doing so, you will be crucial in our effort to offer the best transport solutions for our customer – the world’s leading wind turbine company.”
– General Manager Kim Andreasen

A department focusing on green energy transport
In Renewable Energy, we specialise in first-class transport solutions for wind turbines, from the turbine manufacturing plants to their final destinations at wind farms across North and Central Europe.

You will join a small procurement team who is at the initial phases of starting up – so we are looking forward to getting you and your expertise onboard to really get going. Moreover, you become part of an international department of 25+ colleagues across numerous countries.

Our department is based in Aarhus, Denmark, but for the right candidate we are open for other locations in Northern Europe.

Supplier management and negotiation
Your main responsibility will be to ensure the best prices and the best service on transports for our customers. And you will keep doing so as the scale increases year after year, and the demand for green energy rises. To achieve this, you will collaborate closely with project managers and Group Legal.

Specifically, you will:
-    Identify and pre-qualify suppliers, including harbours, stevedoring, carriers, crane operators, storage and engineering solution providers
-    Develop tendering material and negotiate framework agreements
-    Manage supplier relations and develop contracts in coordination with relevant stakeholders
-    Set supplier KPI’s and perform supplier risk analyses
-    Plan budgets and develop monthly reporting
-    Analyse buyer data, price mechanisms and drivers to identify optimisation opportunities

Do you have international procurement experience?
You have what it takes to challenge suppliers, and you know that timing is essential in negotiations. And you are up for working with procurement in a dynamic industry where the supplier pool is scarce. Moreover, you bring:

-    Some years of relevant experience – ideally in the transport and logistics business, however, this is not a requirement
-    Buyer/procurement experience from an international company
-    Experience negotiating contracts
-    Business acumen
-    Proficiency in English – Danish language skills is an advantage, but not a requirement
