Forklift Driver, Heavy Duty, Open Yard

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that offloading put away, picking and packing processes for inbound and outbound operations are performed efficiently and in a safe manner so as to ensure customer satisfaction. Operate MHE equipment in a responsible manner whilst observing all safety measures during process of operation.

Responsibilities: 

1. 1. Operating the forklift in a proper manner and ensuring that no accidents / damages are caused due to negligent driving.
   2. Ensuring that the forklift is optimally utilized and regularly maintained. 
   3. Carrying out daily inspection of equipment prior to usage to ensure that the equipment is safe to be operated and reporting any discrepancy to the supervisor immediately.
   4. Ensuring to stop operation of equipment at any given time in the event of malfunction.
   5. Reporting accidents immediately to the supervisor.
   6. Following instructions from the supervisor during Loading and Downloading material whilst observing HSE policies and procedures.
   7. Preparing material for outbound.
   8. Ensuring that the materials are stacked accurately assuring safe and proper placement.
   9. Reporting damages immediately to the supervisor while performing duty.
   10. Elevating potential problems, exceptions, and opportunities for improvement of operation to the supervisor.
   11. Performing any other related duties/projects assigned by Supervisor from time to time to meet business exigencies.

Qualifications & Characteristics:

Education – High School 

Work Experience –   2 years forklift experience in UAE

Specific Skills –

• Valid UAE Forklift Licence
• Basic Communication Skills
• Excellent hand/eye co-ordination
• Aptitude towards safety
