Forklift Driver, Contract Logistics

Responsibilities:

1. 1. Receiving the invoice and packing list for inbound shipments and check that the items tally. Informing the WH Coordinator on any damages, short or over shipments and discrepancies observed in received items.
   2. In case of damages, filling the Materials Discrepancy Note (MDN) or other forms, file the same and highlight the case to the WH Coordinator.
   3. Operating the forklift in a proper manner and ensuring that no accidents / damages are caused due to negligent driving. Ensuring that the forklift is optimally utilized and regularly maintained. 
   4. Accurately segregating items, scanning if necessary, and carrying out put away in the proper locations to enable quick and effective retrieval.
   5. Filling the manual put away sheets and handing them to the WH Coordinator for final verification and system confirmations.
   6. Accurately picking items from locations for outbound shipments and checking that the items tally as per the pick list generated. Indicating all the details of items picked in the required format and if required, scan all items or re-check before loading.
   7. Carrying out packing as per specifications and pasting necessary labels and stickers as instructed by the WH Coordinator. 
   8. Assisting the WH Coordinator in tasks like stock checks, cycle counts, etc. as may be assigned from time to time.
   9. Adhering to company policies and procedures for all practices so that business is handled efficiently.
   10. Controls and drives a forklift truck to move packed food materials to specific areas within a warehouse.
   11. Elevating potential problems, exceptions, and opportunities for improvement to supervisor.
   12. Ensure to stacks materials at the specified locations on a safe manner away from the non-food products.
   13. Performing any other related duties/projects assigned by Supervisor from time to time to meet business exigencies.

Qualifications & Characteristics: 

Education – High School

Work Experience –   2 years forklift experience in UAE

Specific Skills –

• Valid Two years old UAE Heavy Forklift Licence
• Basic Communication Skills
• Excellent hand/eye co-ordination
• Aptitude towards safety
