Operations, Quality Assurance Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Verify materials against purchase orders, packing lists, and material specifications
- Review Material Test Certificates (MTC), Inspection Release Notes (IRN), and compliance documents.
- Prepare and submit RFI (Request for Inspection) to the EPCM Contractor and client QC team for approval.
- Ensure RFI approvals before materials are released for storage or issuance.
- Ensure materials are stored in designated areas (HVAC warehouse, closed storage, open shed, etc.) as per client specifications.
- Monitor preservation procedures and maintain preservation logs to prevent deterioration.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled and traceable, linking each item to corresponding MTCs and vendor documents
- Maintain accurate records of RFIs, MRIRs (Material Receiving Inspection Reports), and OSD (Overage, Shortage & Damage) reports
- Upload and manage inspection documents in the designated material management system (e.g., SPMMS or client’s system).
- Raise an RFI for material issuance inspections, coordinate with client's inspectors, and obtain approval before dispatch.
- Ensure proper documentation (Material Issuance Reports, Release Notes, and Inspection Approval) before materials leave the warehouse.
- Follow client’s engineering specifications, project quality plan (PQP), and international standards like ISO 9001.
- Conduct inspections as per Material Receiving Inspection Procedure and client's QA/QC guidelines.
- Coordinate RFIs with EPCM Contractor, client's QC team, and Implementation Contractors.
- Maintain an updated RFI log, track inspection status, and ensure timely approvals.
- Performing any other related duties / projects assigned by the direct supervisor from time to time to meet the business exigencies.
Qualifications & Characteristics:
Education – Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Work Experience – Minimum 2-4 years of experience in material inspection, QA/QC, warehouse quality control, or materials coordination within oil & gas, EPCM projects.
