DSV Solutions  is seeking to hire a skilled and passionate Jockey in AUS - Altona, Ajax Road 

The role:

• Assist the Driver in loading and unloading fragile freight using appropriate handling devices
• Ensure all freight is handled carefully and placed in position as directed by the Driver
• Support the Driver in checking freight against documentation and obtaining customer signatures upon delivery
• Perform warehousing tasks such as housekeeping, rack dismantling, and waste sorting when there are no deliveries
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the vehicle and work areas
• Assist with physical lifting and movement of freight at delivery locations, including difficult-to-access areas
• Follow all safety procedures and report any hazards or incidents immediately
• Operating stock management tools; for example, MHE
• Maintain MHE equipment by completing pre-use inspections and operator adjustments Provide immediate communication to the Driver or Supervisors (verbal and email) of any issues
• Perform other duties as required as directed by the Driver or all the site Supervisor
• Ensure the workplace is kept in a professional, organised and clean manner
• Handle any other ad-hoc / administrative duties

About you: 

• This position requires minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Logistics industry
• Ability to obtain and maintain Yellow Badge security clearance
• Working knowledge of Material Handling Equipment
• Forklift license preferred
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards 
• General WHS awareness of legislative and company requirements
