As a general manager, you excel in connecting people while maintaining a tight grip on processes. You lead the management team and the operations of your establishment in a people-oriented manner. You report to the Managing Director of DSV Solutions NL. Naturally, in this role, you're responsible for achieving efficient and effective business operations. Here's how you do it:

You hold full responsibility for your establishment, where the achieved result is your KPI. This encompasses account management, business support, HR, and Finance. The daily operation involves approximately 120 FTE within our 3PL location in Amsterdam. You oversee the smooth running of the entire logistics process, including planning, receipt, control, storage, expedition, order assembly, and dispatch. You're not just accountable for logistics processes but also directly and indirectly for supporting departments. Your extensive logistics experience and solution-oriented, outgoing, and positive personality are central to your role. Combined with your analytical and communication skills, they inspire and motivate both colleagues and customers. You achieve this by:

• running an efficient operation and achieving agreed KPI targets;
• maintaining and expanding client relationships in collaboration with DSV's business development team;
• actively contributing to your team's development, focusing on capacities and qualities to ensure the right people are in the right roles;
• aligning, coordinating, budgeting, and operationally and financially monitoring budgets;
• prioritizing, driving improvement projects, and consistently challenging our service delivery.

You bring

• passion for the job; your enthusiasm is contagious to others;
• experience in a leadership role within a 3PL organisation;
• knowledge of and experience with lean and driving significant improvement and innovation projects;
• analytical skills with which you identify bottlenecks and define solutions or process improvements;
• good communication skills in both English and Dutch.
