Experienced logistics engineer? Have you worked as a key user with a WMS or ERP system? Or are you simply excellent at project management, with an investigative nature, a passion for sustainability and logistics flows focused on warehousing? We are looking for a colleague who takes the initiative, to join our Engineering team in Amsterdam!

Setting up technological supply chain solutions, translating operational needs into workable IT processes and even providing support to customers with system-related issues. You are the analytical organizational talent who will make this job a success! Customers find in you a creative IT talent with an eye for their needs and a bridge builder to operational IT processes. You contribute to this.

How do you do it? When setting up new customers, you get involved in the implementation project and ensure that the customer's wishes are translated into technological solutions in our WMS as effectively as possible. Existing clients find in you an analytical and critical person who looks at ongoing processes with a creative perspective and has an eye for optimizing work methods and system technical solutions. You will investigate with colleagues from operations. Where are the bottlenecks and how can processes be further streamlined? You are a connector and bridge builder between operations and our IT systems, translating process improvements and WMS configurations. You keep track of ongoing processes, dare to bring in your ideas and deviate from standards. You also seek collaboration with other DSV Solutions locations. Fine-tuning and designing logistics solutions to create a win-win for our stakeholders: You achieve this by:
 

• Setting up, testing, and implementing new customers and associated processes in our warehouse management system;
• Specifying both operational needs and the needs of our external customers, which you translate perfectly into system specifications for our IT developers;
• Actively participating in projects to improve the logistics process, such as large-scale automation projects;
• Providing operational support to key users and troubleshooters, helping them resolve daily operational issues or malfunctions we receive within our WMS system;
• Continuously improving and standardizing application processes, both within your own department and for internal and external collaborations.

You bring
•    Knowledge of logistics processes/systems, data analysis, preferably complemented by knowledge of logistics automation & mechanization;
•    At least a completed MBO+ education in logistics management, supply chain, engineering, industrial engineering, or a similar field;
•    Curiosity about applications and systems, you investigate and want to know everything;
•    Strong shoes and a preference for direct communication;
•    Affinity with WMS systems, Power BI, and SQL.
