Summary
The Billing Manager – Warehousing & Logistics is responsible for leading and centralizing billing operations across the Southeast region. This role will oversee billing activities for warehouse locations ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant invoicing for all warehousing and logistics services.This position will manage regional billing teams, standardize billing processes, drive accuracy and efficiency, and serve as the primary escalation point for billing-related issues.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all billing activities related to warehousing and logistics services across warehouse locations.
- Ensure accurate, timely invoicing in accordance with customer contracts, tariffs, rate agreements, and service-level requirements.
- Review and approve complex or high-value invoices and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Partner closely with Operations, Sales, and Finance to ensure alignment between services rendered and billing output.
- Establish clear roles, workflows, and accountability across the centralized billing team.
- Standardize billing processes, controls, and documentation across all Southeast warehouses.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and cycle time in billing operations.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and customer-specific billing rules.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
- Develop and monitor key billing metrics (billing timeliness, error rates, disputes, aging).
- Provide regular reporting and insights to the Regional Director and Finance leadership.
- Track and address trends related to billing errors, revenue leakage, and customer disputes.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for billing inquiries and disputes from internal teams and customers.
- Support customer onboarding by ensuring accurate billing setup and documentation.
- Maintain strong working relationships with warehouse leadership at each site.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Lead and manage regional billing staff, consolidating local billing functions into a centralized Southeast billing structure.
- Provide coaching, performance management, and development to billing team members
Educational background / Work experience
- 5+ years of experience in billing, accounting, or revenue operations within warehousing, logistics, or supply chain environments.
- 2+ years of people management or team leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of warehousing and logistics billing (storage, handling, transportation-related charges).
- Proven experience standardizing processes across multiple locations or regions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume, complex billing environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multi-site or regional operations.
- Familiarity with WMS, TMS, and ERP systems used in logistics billing.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $82,320 - $137,880 / Annual. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
