DSV are currently looking for an Operations Manager to be based in our Belfast office and lead our Air & Sea Freight operations in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing our operational teams, ensuring excellent service delivery, customer satisfaction and achievement of business objectives.

You will play a key role in driving operational performance, developing team capability and working closely with customers and senior stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.

You don't necessarily need to already hold the title of Operations Manager. We would also welcome applications from experienced freight forwarding Team Leaders or Supervisors who can demonstrate the leadership, operational knowledge and commercial awareness required to take the next step in their career.

What will you be doing?

• Leading and motivating our Air & Sea Freight teams to achieve operational and service targets.
• Driving continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
• Managing customer service performance and building strong client relationships.
• Ensuring compliance with customer SOPs, SLAs and DSV procedures.
• Monitoring performance and delivering against key operational KPIs.
• Developing team capability through coaching, training and performance management.
• Conducting regular team meetings to review performance, priorities and operational activities.
• Fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous learning.
• Working closely with customers, colleagues and senior stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver successful outcomes.
• Supporting the achievement of commercial and operational objectives for the Belfast operation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Recent experience working within the freight forwarding industry, including experience gained within the last 12 months, is essential.
• Proven experience within Air and/or Sea Freight Forwarding operations.

• Experience using CargoWise One is desirable.
• Previous experience leading, supervising or developing operational teams within a freight forwarding or logistics environment.
• Strong operational management, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with customers, colleagues and senior stakeholders.
• Good commercial awareness with a strong focus on operational performance, customer service and results.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritising workloads and responding positively to operational challenges.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience managing and working to KPIs, SOPs and SLAs is desirable.
• A full UK driving licence.
