Freight Forwarder -Sea 
Blanchardstown- Dublin 
Mon-Fri, 09.00-17.30, 37.5 hours
Salary €40.000-€50.000 per annum

As a Freight Forwarder – Sea Freight, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while providing end-to-end visibility and control of sea freight shipments. You will work closely with customers, overseas offices, shipping lines, transport providers, customs teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless and high-quality customer experience.
This role is ideal for a customer-focused individual who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and working in a dynamic logistics environment where no two days are the same.


What will you be doing?


•    Managing sea freight shipments from order creation through to final delivery. 
•    Providing customers with proactive updates and full visibility of their shipments. 
•    Responding to customer enquiries promptly and professionally through verbal and written communication. 
•    Monitoring shipment progress and identifying potential disruptions before they impact customers. 
•    Coordinating with shipping lines, overseas offices, customs authorities, and transportation providers to ensure smooth cargo movement. 
•    Managing exceptions and resolving operational issues in a timely and customer-focused manner. 
•    Ensuring accurate system data entry and maintenance of shipment records. 
•    Opening and maintaining shipment files in accordance with company procedures and service standards. 
•    Coordinating customs brokerage requirements and ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate. 
•    Managing and maintaining In-Transit Reports and shipment tracking information. 
•    Supporting accurate and timely invoicing and cost control processes. 
•    Working to established service levels, KPIs, SOPs, and compliance requirements. 
•    Collaborating with internal departments to deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction. 
•    Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence within the team.

About you


Essential

•    Previous experience in a customer service, administration, or logistics environment.
•    Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
•    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
•    Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
•    Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high levels of customer service.
•    Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
•    A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.


Desirable

•    Experience in Sea Freight Imports and/or Exports.
•    Previous experience within freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations.
•    Knowledge of customs processes and international transportation.
•    Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve operational issues.
