Role Summary:
This role is responsible for the guidance and direction for warehouse activities which may include picking, shipping, receiving and other warehouse related duties. 

Principal Responsibilities:

(The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.  It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):

  1. Assist supervisor and provide guidance and direction to associates
  2. Escalate non-routine matters to supervisor
  3. Run shift meetings when required
  4. Repetitive lifting of items up to 50lbs
  5. Maintain Health and Safety compliance in accordance with company policies
  6. Lead by example in demonstrating safe work habits and proper techniques to improve performance
  7. Maintain and promote high standards of customer service
  8. Maintain and promote professional communication with drivers, customers and warehouse personnel
  9. Maintain Key Performance Indicator (KPI) boards, where required
  10. Perform other general administrative/warehouse duties and tasks as assigned.

Skills and Competencies:

(The following minimum requirements are normal guidelines and should not constrain the advancement of otherwise qualified personnel):

  1. Experience in a warehouse role in a 3PL company preferred
  2. Trained and certified to operate materials handling equipment (MHE) when required, with a proven safe track record
  3. GMP trained when required
  4. Must be able to continuously lift, push and pull items up to 50 lbs
  5. Strong planning and organization skills
  6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  7. Self motivated with the ability to work in a team environment.
  8. Excellent knowledge of overall warehousing processes and systems
  9. Strong computer skills
