We are looking for a Credit Controller, Global VIP Accounts Collection Specialist that will be responsible for setting appropriate credit limits and monitoring the financial health of corporate customers. Credit assessments are performed for standard accounts, while for VIP accounts, the focus is on credit limit management and collection activities, as credit evaluations are already conducted by Group Credit in line with company policy. This role involves ensuring compliance with credit policies and proactively resolving issues on overdue accounts. The specialist serves as a strategic partner in mitigating credit risks while supporting global account management efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements) to assess customer creditworthiness for non-VIP accounts.
- Recognize and escalate potential problematic situations to the Manager.
- Perform manual credit assessments or review and adjust system-generated credit proposals as needed (excluding VIP accounts).
- Set and approve credit limits in the system and handle payment term applications.
- Propose write-offs and bad debt provisions when necessary.
- Support negotiations on specific payment term requests and review financial clauses or invoicing requirements.
- Monitor shipments in ERP systems against credit limit blocks.
- Manage a selected portfolio of high-value global VIP accounts.
- Focus on the distribution and monitoring of credit limits, overdue account resolution, and collection
- processes for VIP accounts.
- Investigate overdue accounts, identifying root causes and proposing permanent solutions.
- Coordinate resolution of issues at a global level, involving relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the collection process, including monitoring global/regional overdue balances, ensuring invoice accuracy, and handling escalations.
- Prepare and analyze weekly collection reports and propose improvement actions.
- Work closely with Global Account Directors, Account Managers, Group Credit, and operational teams to ensure effective credit and collection processes.
- Create and present summarized reports and graphical presentations of findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and external regulatory requirements.
- Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and mitigate credit risks.
- Evaluate market conditions and foresee potential changes affecting credit limits or customer risk profiles.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Credit Management or VIP Account Management, preferably in an international environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration,
- Accounting, or similar field.
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and assess credit risks.
- Proficiency in SAP (FSCM/FIORI modules), MS Office Suite, and experience with Dun & Bradstreet methodologies.
- Ability to prepare and present findings in a clear and graphical format.
- Solution-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, result-driven environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with crossfunctional and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with automation and digital tools (e.g., PowerBI, RPA platforms) is an advantage.
