We are looking for a Health & Safety Specialist who will be responsible for  ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation at work and prevention and training of employees in case of emergency situations. Also, will ensure a healthy work environment, away from the risk that may endanger the employees’ health and safety and the environment.

 

 

Responsibilities:

Health & Safety

 

  • Support the External Prevention and Protection Service in identifying hazards and assessing the risks for each component of the work, respectively executor, workload, job function / work equipment and work environment for jobs. 

  • Participate in the elaboration, fulfilment, monitoring and updating of the prevention and protection plan. 

  • Participate, along with local managers and external prevention and protection services, in developing their own instructions for completing and / or applying the occupational health and safety regulations, small and particular activities of the units / enterprise, as well as the jobs / workstations. 

  • Supervise, together with the managers of the workplaces, the verification of the suitability and the applications for all employees, the measures provided in the prevention and protection plan, their own instructions, as well as the responsibility that corresponds to them in the field of occupational health and safety. established by the job description. 

  • Supervise, together with the managers, on ensuring the information and training for the employees, on health and safety at work and verify the suitability and application by the employees of the information received. 

  • Elaborates, together with the External Prevention and Protection Service, the training-testing program at the company level. 

  • Supports the external prevention and protection service when establishing the areas that require health and safety signalling at work, establishes the type of signalling required and the location according to the provisions of Government Decision no. 971/2006 regarding the minimum requirements for the signalling of health and / or safety in the workplace. 

  • Ensures together with the prevention and protection service, record of the trades and professions provided by the specific legislation, for which it is necessary to authorize their exercise - if necessary. 

  • Keep track together with the prevention and protection service, of the workstations that require additional medical examinations - if applicable. 

  • Keep record, together with the prevention and protection service, of the workstations that, at the recommendation of the occupational medicine doctor, require the testing of skills and / or periodic psychological control. 

  • Support the External Prevention and Protection Service in carrying out internal controls at work, informing the employer in writing about the deficiencies found and the measures proposed to remedy them. 

  • Identifies, together with the External Prevention and Protection Service, the individual protective equipment’s necessary for the company's workstations and the drafting of the necessary equipment for the workers with individual protective equipment, according to the provisions of the Government Decision no. 1.048 / 2006 regarding the minimum safety and health requirements for the use by the workers of the individual protective equipment at the workplace - if applicable. 

  • Follows, together with the prevention and protection service, the proper maintenance, handling and storage of the individual protective equipment and their replacement within the established deadlines, as well as in the other situations provided by the Government Decision no. 1.048 / 2006 - if applicable. 

  • Participate in the research of events according to the competences provided. 

  • Participate in the preparation of records according to the competences provided. 

  • Participate in the elaboration of reports on work accidents suffered by employees in the company and / or unit, in accordance with the provisions of art. 12 paragraph (1) lit. d) of the law. 

  • Follow the accomplishment of the measures ordered by the labour inspectors, on the occasion of the control visits and the investigation of the events. 

  • Collaborate with workers and / or workers' representatives, external prevention and protection services, occupational medicine doctor, in order to coordinate prevention and protection measures. 

  • Collaboration with the nominated workers / internal services / external services of / of other employers, in case more employers carry out their activity in the same place of work. 

  • Follow-up of the update of the protection and prevention plan and of the evacuation plan. 

  • Participate in the elaboration of a necessary material for carrying out these activities. 

  • Participates in the Committee on Health and Safety at Work as Secretary. 

  • Other activities necessary / specific to ensure the health and safety of the employees in the workplace, according to the law, ROI and ROF. 

 

Facility & Administration 

 

  • Managing relationships with service providers (cleaning, maintenance, security). 

  • Coordinating building access and employee badges. 

  • Organizing training sessions and internal events. 

  • Managing office spaces and parking allocations. 

  • Coordinating office relocations and workspace setup projects. 

 

Sustainability / ESG 

 

  • Monitoring local sustainability objectives and initiatives. 

  • Collecting and reporting data related to energy, water consumption, and waste management. 

  • Supporting the company's environmental and sustainability programs. 

 

Administrative Compliance 

 

  • Updating and maintaining internal procedures and policies. 

  • Keeping records of mandatory declarations and compliance documentation. 

  • Providing support during internal and external audits. 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 5+ years of experience in health & safety domain.
  • Very good knowledge regarding health and safety legislation and prevention of emergency situations. 

  • Technical studies completed. 

  • Health and safety training with a minimum content according to the one provided in annex no. 6 lit. B, HG no. 1425/2006, with a duration of at least 80 hours. 

  • Very good knowledge of OHSAS 18001: 2004 and ISO 14001: 2005 standards. 

  • Ability to train employees in terms of Health and Safety and Prevention of Emergency Situations. 

  • The authority to carry out inspections in order to verify compliance with Health and Safety legislation and prevention of emergency situations. 

  • The competence to represent the company in relation to the authorized institutions of control and inspection in the field of Health and Safety and Prevention of Emergency Situations. 

  • Advanced computer operating knowledge: MS-Office, Outlook. 

  • English (written, spoken) - advanced level. 

  • Very good organizational skills. 

  • Ability to work with different data, multiple information and prioritizing activities. 

  • Very good communication and personal interrelation skills. 

  • Ability to work in a team / spirit of cooperation / receptivity. 

  • Orientation towards results, proactivity, positive attitude. 

  • The ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
