We are looking for a Team Leader, MDM who will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and coordinating a team of Operational Finance Specialists and Senior Specialists. This role ensures high-quality data management, operational excellence, and compliance with internal standards across central DSV systems. The Team Lead drives process optimization, oversees daily operations, monitors KPIs, and acts as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Operational Finance Specialists and Senior Specialists, promoting professional development and high performance.
- Plan, assign, and monitor team workload, ensuring deadlines, targets, and SLAs are met.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Promote knowledge sharing, best practices, and adherence to MDM processes across the team.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry, validation, and approval of Supplier, Customer, and organizational master data.
- Monitor and analyze operational KPIs, anticipate potential backlog, and escalate risks or issues proactively.
- Oversee daily planning reports, ensuring deviations are addressed and operations run smoothly.
- Lead process improvement initiatives, including LEAN practices and digitalization projects.
- Serve as a key contributor to internal and international projects, including data migration, conversion, and onboarding activities.
- Ensure operational changes are properly communicated, documented, and implemented across the team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve complex operational issues and support business process improvements.
- Maintain a high level of data confidentiality and ensure compliance with DSV internal regulations and global standards.
- Monitor adherence to process governance and quality standards, ensuring team compliance.
- Identify IT/system issues promptly and coordinate necessary escalations to achieve fast resolution.
- Authorized to verify, update, and approve data in systems.
- May propose and implement process improvements.
- Can lead meetings and participate in projects/tests.
- Entitled to report and escalate IT or data issues.
- Authorized to handle confidential data responsibly.
- Supports onboarding and team development activities.
- Represent the company in operational matters within the defined scope.
- Participate in professional trainings and development programs.
- Request support and resources needed to achieve assigned goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing operational processes within MDM or similar functions.
- Demonstrated experience working with global processes and collaborating with international stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel (functions, data analysis, reporting).
- Strong expertise in MDM operational processes and Data Quality Maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with SAP, MDG, CargoWise One, and Cargolink.
- Ability to analyze complex data and implement solutions to improve quality and efficiency.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize competing tasks effectively.
- Adaptable to changing environments with a continuous improvement mindset
- Proactive in identifying operational risks, problems, and improvement opportunities.
- Team-oriented with strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
