Job-related Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Logistics or Courier environment, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
Financial, Operational, HR and IR Skills are essential
Excellent admin skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff
Comprehensive knowledge of the LRA and BCEA.
Must have a valid, unendorsed Code 08 drivers license
Must have own reliable transport
Be able to work overtime / shifts should it be needed
Flexible to travel
Able to attend client meetings
Electives:
Experience in Quality improvement initiatives/methodologies ( Such as Six Sigma, Lean)
Deadline Driven and ability to work under pressure
Ability to analyse data and report on KPI’s
Good communication skills
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE :
To manage the staff, clients and deliverables of the branch ensuring that it is aligned with the overall objectives of the organization and the resources are fully utilized to ensure optimal delivery of services to our clients.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
To manager the delivery of the organizations objectives through communication, measurement and motivation of the staff
To manage cost and productivity within the branch ensuring the effectiveness and the efficiency thereof
To ensure compliance to internal and external controls and other KPI’s set at global and local level
To deliver on the bottom line budget commitment to ensure that the business unit budget is met
To identify opportunities and risks within the business that may impact the business environment and ability to deliver to shareholder commitments
Managing people’s performance and growth to create a sustainable business environment
Identify and action training needs within the Operation
Adherence to deadlines and schedules
Managing and controlling resources and risk management
Administrative duties relevant to the position
Interacting with customers at all levels – in person and telephonically
Attend regular customer meetings
Maintain existing systems processes and controls with continuous improvement
Improving KPI Metrics within the business
Active managing of the operation ensuring houskeeping is in order and all Audit points are adhered to and met
