Computer Literacy Level:

- MS Suite (Advanced)

- Highly proficient in CargoWrite / WMS

 

Job Related Requirements:

- 3-5 years of warehouse management experience within a multiclient facility, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence.
- 3-5 years of experience using CargoWrite (WMS) for warehouse and inventory management.
- Diploma in Logistics / Warehousing (Advantageous)

 

Project Management Skills:
- Experience in managing projects from inception to completion, including the ability to set timelines, allocate resources, and meet deadlines.

 

Change Management Experience:
- Proven ability to lead change initiatives effectively, demonstrating adaptability and resilience in fast-paced environments.


Customer Focus:
- A strong commitment and understanding of customer needs and delivering solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.


Technical Proficiency:
- Fully competent in warehouse management systems (WMS)


Financial Acumen:
- Ability to analyse financial data and make cost-effective recommendations that align with operational goals.


Quality Control Knowledge:
- Experience with quality assurance processes and tools to ensure that operational standards are consistently met.


Negotiation Skills:
- Proficient in negotiation techniques, particularly in vendor management and contract negotiations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Process Improvement:
- Analyze current operational processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and implement best practices and standardized procedures that align with company goals.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of implemented changes and recommend further modifications as necessary.


Team Leadership:
- Lead cross-functional teams in initiatives aimed at operational excellence, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Conduct regular training sessions on operational procedures and best practices to ensure team proficiency.


Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize CargoWrite (WMS) to gather, analyze, and report on operational metrics and performance indicators.
- Develop dashboards and reports that provide insights into operational performance, identifying trends and areas for attention.
- Collaborate with management to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks for operational success.


Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with various departments, including supply chain, inventory management, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
- Facilitate communication between teams to ensure clarity in processes and expectations.
- Serve as a point of contact for operational inquiries and escalate issues as necessary.


Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the development of the operational strategy, aligning with overall business goals and objectives.
- Identify emerging industry trends and integrate innovative solutions to stay ahead of the competition.
- Participate in budget planning and resource allocation to support operational initiatives.
- The Operations Excellence Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing our operational processes and driving efficiency across our retail and logistics divisions. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in retail management and expertise in CargoWrite (WMS). The ideal candidate will possess a blend of analytical skills and leadership qualities to guide teams toward achieving operational excellence.
