The Manager - Air Freight - is responsible for the operational affairs of the Air Freight product. He/she reports to the General Manager/ Regional Head and works closely with the other products/functions within the Branch.

The primary purposes of this role are:

1. To execute the Air Freight Product strategy at regional level, and escalate when necessary
2. To own and manage the Air Freight product P&L for the region to achieve EBIT as per agreed targets
3. To ensure the appropriate staffing in the Air Freight team(s) in the region and to drive future-oriented workforce planning, in line with productivity targets
4. To effectively manage and be overall accountable for the performance of the Air Freight operations teams in the region
5. To drive change management within the region
6. To execute the global Air Freight standards & guidelines at regional level
7. To monitor operational performance of carriers and escalate to Regional Head when appropriate

Educational background / Work experience

• Graduate with over 12 years of experience out of which:
• Postgraduate / Management degree will be added advantage 
• Minimum 5 years of operational air freight experience either on the forwarder or airline side
• Minimum 2 years of experience in people management and leadership, including recruitment, training & development, coaching, conflict and performance management

Language Skills

• Local language (written and spoken)
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) preferred
• Other languages (written and spoken) of advantage

Computer Literacy

• MS office skills and good knowledge regarding IT systems
• Excellent command on company’s IT system tools like CW1/ CRM /SAP etc.
