Position target:
An opportunity to join the EDI Technical Team of the 4th largest 3rd Party Logistics Provider in the world. The existing team of 15+ support 100s of EDI Developers to maintain a highly sophisticated EDI system. This is not a legacy application, we are currently moving towards a containerized environment with DevOps pipelines so you will get to experience and work with exciting modern technologies and processes.
Tasks and responsibilities:
1. Delivery of EDI Roadmap items (Containerization, DevOps, Application Version Upgrades, etc)
2. Maintenance of the EDI Test and Development environments
3. Assist EDI Development Teams with technical queries related to mapping, business process , XSLT development etc.
4. Creation and maintenance of generic objects (BPs, Maps, Workflows, etc) to support EDI Development teams
5. Technical documentation maintenance and creation
6. Maintaining application performance and stability
7. Co-ordination across multiple teams for activities such as disaster recovery, database upgrades and OS server patching
8. Collaborate with EDI Developers and business owners to convert customer/business requirements into technical specifications.
9. Research and troubleshoot Production EDI system issues along work with the EDI Support team
10. Installation and documentation of any new products added to the EDI landscape

2. Strong problem solving skills.

Work experience:
Essential Requirements:
1. 5 years of experience in IBM Sterling Integrator/Sterling Secure Proxy and Sterling External Authentication Services
2. 2 years of experience in IBM Sterling Transformation eXtender/Sterling Transformation eXtender Advanced
3. Must have experience in designing and building complex flows in IBM Sterling Integrator using Business Processes, XSLTs, Sterling Maps and ITX Maps
4. Good knowledge of ANSI-X12 and UN/EDIFACT EDI standards.
5. Good knowledge of XML and JSON
6. Strong fundamental understanding of communication protocols: (S)FTP, HTTP(S), AS2, Web services (SOAP and REST)
7. Basic knowledge of:
-Computer networks
-UNIX (AIX) and LINUX
-SQL
-APIs
-Cloud Computing
Preferred requirements:
1. Knowledge of the logistics industry
2. Experience configuring/working on a containerized environment with Sterling Integrator
3. Awareness of DevOps concepts, preferably familiar with Jenkins, Ansible, Python and Groovy
4. 2 years of experience in Eliassen Group B2B Framework
5. Experience with:
-IBM API Connect
-Agile methodologies
-Microsoft Azure
-MQ (IBM MQ)
-Kubernetes (AKS)
-Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats and Logstash (ELK Stack)
