Purpose of the position:
To ensure absolute adherence to commitments agreed with clients thereby ensuring client retention and growth of business.
- Identifying Clients to be categorized as Key Account – consequently setting up & defining parameters for the selection.
- Ensure systematic filing of the details of such clients – which includes filing of Client Profile, Sales Agreement / SOP of rates & services, Report.
- Ensure all activities directed towards commendable service from DSV and those which augments the clients’ business interests favorably.
- To achieve Budgeted GP & Volumes.
Key Tasks:
- Meet with client representatives regularly for a feedback on the services.
- Regular telecoms to be “in touch” with the client’s requirements.
- Keep a check on the key KPIs agreed with the client vide regular reports & MIS analysis,
- Keep a track of the traffic behavior of the clients’ business and be alert to any new business opportunity as also aware of competitor penetration into any realm of the clients’ business.
- Analyze and strategies for any scope to innovate / modify existing system or flow of work to impact DSV and/or the client positively – in terms of costs reduction, transit time reduction as also better flow of information both sides. Create a Win-Win situation.
- Regular contact with the operation / product teams as also the carriers to understand actual operations, newer trends in the market.
- Collect as many information as one may be able to in the regular calls with the client and understand objectively where we do not participate and why; as also what would it take the client to shift that particular piece to us – where do we need to reach to be able to handle the same.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Working knowledge and good speed on MS Office applications.
- Experience in Sales of Freight Forwarding / Shipping (Import / Export, Customer Service)
Competencies:
- Good communication skills; Knowledge of local language will be an added advantage
- Ability to get started & work on own
- Ability to judge and take decisions
Educational background / Work experience:
- Graduation/Post Graduation in any stream.
- 5-6 years of experience in Freight Forwarding, Shipping, Logistics Div. of manufacturing units.
Language Skills:
- Fluent in English
Computer Literacy:
- MS Office skills and good knowledge regarding IT systems
