Move forward as an export employee sea freight at DSV in Dordrecht
Have you already gained some work experience in sea freight and are you looking for the next step? We are looking for an enthusiastic addition to our sparkling team Export Sea Freight. You will be trained for this all-round position as an export employee, where you will be responsible for your clients from A to Z in shipping various products. Your client portfolio is diverse and includes major clients from retail, healthcare, renewable energy and automotive sectors. You will handle order processing, bookings, documentation, invoicing and above all, ensure timely delivery. And always, under the best conditions for your client. That is what you do!

You get it done
Through your efforts and those of your 13 colleagues in the export department, you ensure that customers' export shipments are shipped correctly and on time to the other side of the world. Sustainable, at the right rate, and of course delivered according to customer agreements; you make it happen.

How you do this? From Monday to Friday, you are in daily contact with your customers, the sender, co-loaders, and (international) colleagues. Shipments are in your capable hands, because you ensure they are booked on time with and transported by the co-loader or our own gateways and carriers. With your critical eye, you also check whether the correct rate is applied. You have everything well-organized for your customers to grow together. You achieve this by:
 

• converting customer orders into bookings with co-loaders, gateways, and carriers;
• preparing shipping instructions, documentation, invoicing, and maintaining files;
• providing updates to the customer via phone and email about current shipments.

Your team stands out within DSV for its connection and support. You will be working in a close-knit team of 13 colleagues, some of whom have been part of the export team for a long time. As a result, your colleagues have the necessary experience to support you well during your onboarding process and beyond. You bring
 

• MBO working and thinking level;
• a customer and service-oriented attitude;
• work experience in a role as a freight forwarder, import or export employee or logistics administrative employee. Preferably, you have knowledge of LCL export;
• proficiency in Dutch and English, in this role you will have a lot of (international) customer contact by email and phone.
