Move forward as Freight Forwarder at DSV in Dordrecht

Proactively provide transport for all groupage shipments to Spain, Portugal, Norway and Finland. From collection at the customer to transport to destination. Together with your colleagues from DSV. That's what you do!

A customer books a shipment with DSV. To have his two pallets transported from his location, somewhere in the Netherlands, to Madrid. You keep in touch with the customer's contact person, ensure that colleagues from distribution planning collect these two pallets and deliver them to Venlo or Dordrecht. Your colleagues from planning schedule the two pallets for transport to Madrid. From that moment until delivery, it is your responsibility to the customer: You work on it.

How do you do this? Together with your direct colleague Thomas, Remon én Levy, you are active on a daily basis with the groupage shipments for Spain, Portugal, Norway and Finland. You work closely together to transport all shipments for these 4 countries in an organized manner and with maximum customer satisfaction. In short, you handle and monitor all shipments to these 4 countries, until our DSV colleagues take over from you or until the shipment has reached its destination. You achieve this by:

• accurately processing incoming transport requests and booking transports within our transport management system;
• maintaining contacts with the customer, your colleagues from local planning and the crossdock in Dordrecht and with your colleagues in other countries;
• quick switching in the event of delays or delays. You inform the customer and look for a suitable solution to get the shipment to its destination as quickly as possible.

You bring

• passion and enthusiasm for transport and logistics, you know how to convey this to others;
• some experience as a junior transport planner, freight forwarder or supply chain planner is a bonus. But even without experience, we would like to get in touch with you;
• accurate and structured way of working. You have strong communication skills and are not afraid to pick up the phone;
• a good command of the English language.
