We are looking for a Cost Analyst who will be responsible for ensuring accurate cost control, invoice verification, payment processing, and financial reporting activities within the logistics operation. The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure compliance, efficiency, and high-quality service delivery. The Cost Analyst will contribute to process optimization, cost transparency, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining high standards of accuracy and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, register, and process carrier and supplier invoices in the designated systems.
  • Verify invoices and ensure they are supported by all required documentation (CMRs, delivery notes, protocols, and other relevant documents).
  • Identify discrepancies, inaccuracies, or missing information between invoices and operational records, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Approve invoices in accordance with established procedures and authorization levels.
  • Schedule payments in line with contractual payment terms and internal policies.
  • Monitor payment status and provide timely information to suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain professional relationships with carriers, suppliers, and business partners.
  • Cooperate closely with operational, finance, and support departments to resolve cost-related issues.
  • Monitor, register, investigate, and respond to customer and supplier claims related to invoices and costs.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, policies, and deadlines.
  • Prepare regular reports, analyses, and cost summaries for management and business stakeholders.
  • Support cost control initiatives and contribute to identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Ensure proper document flow, data accuracy, and archiving in accordance with company standards.
  • Participate in process standardization, optimization, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and information.
  • Maintain high-quality standards and ensure compliance with applicable financial and operational procedures.
  • Support knowledge sharing and contribute to building best practices within the team.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policies, procedures, quality standards, and DSV Values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Cost Control, Cost Analysis, Accounts Payable, Finance Operations, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and financial management tools is considered an advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in an international environment.
  • Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
  • Results-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
