Freight Forwarder-Sea Freight
Hours Mon- Fri, 09.00-17.30, 37.5 per week
Location: Dublin -Ballycoolin
Are you passionate about customer service, logistics, and keeping global supply chains moving?
As a Customer Operations Specialist – Sea Freight, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by providing end-to-end visibility and support for ocean freight shipments. You will work closely with customers, shipping lines, overseas offices, customs teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure shipments move efficiently and customers remain informed every step of the way.

What will you be doing?
• Manage sea freight shipments from booking through to final delivery.
• Provide customers with accurate shipment updates and visibility across their supply chain.
• Build strong customer relationships through consistent, professional communication.
• Monitor shipments and proactively manage disruptions or exceptions before they impact customer operations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, shipping lines, transportation providers, ports, customs authorities, and third-party logistics providers.
• Ensure all activities are completed in line with agreed service levels, KPIs, SOPs, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate shipment records, documentation, file creation, and system updates.
• Coordinate customs brokerage activities and support customs compliance requirements.
• Manage in-transit reporting and provide operational updates to customers and stakeholders.
• Support accurate invoicing and maintain revenue and cost controls.
• Work collaboratively with commercial teams, finance, brokerage, overseas offices, and operational colleagues.
• Contribute to departmental objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
Essential
• Experience in customer service, administration, or operational support roles.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with data management systems and operational processes.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
• Customer-focused approach with a strong service mindset.
• Willingness to learn and develop within a fast-paced logistics environment.
Desirable
• Sea Freight Import and/or Export experience.
• Experience within freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Knowledge of ocean freight processes and international shipping.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to make informed decisions in a multifunctional environment.
• Flexibility to support other operational functions when required.
