Move forward as Freight Forwarder at DSV in Ede

Within our road transport location in Ede, you ensure efficient and reliable planning of international shipments. You are an expert in building and maintaining both internal and external networks: you’re on it.

How you do this? You are responsible for the entire planning process, from forwarding to invoicing. It is up to you to plan the trucks as fully and efficiently as possible, both for outbound and return journeys. You achieve this by:

• ensuring correct and timely delivery of shipments through efficient planning with the highest possible load factor, using SIEL and iTMS;
• monitoring shipments in real time and proactively responding to deviations, safety challenges, and operational disruptions;
• making and monitoring rate agreements for purchased transport and steering on these in daily operations;
• proactively communicating with customers and partners, following up on shipments, and identifying irregularities during loading, unloading, and delivery.

You bring

• a completed mbo-level education, preferably in transport and logistics;
• experience in transport planning or coordination, for example as a freight forwarder, transport planner, or supply chain coordinator;
• good command of the Dutch language is an advantage;
• knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and automated planning systems such as SIEL and iTMS;
• knowledge of driving and rest time regulations.
