As Operations Manager, you hold end-to-end responsibility for a large-scale and complex logistics operation across Eemshaven, Westpoort and Winschoten. You lead warehouse managers and supervisors, are part of the local management team, and act as the key link between the customer, the operation and the organisation: you’re on it.

How you do this? You ensure that processes run smoothly, teams know where they stand, and customer expectations are exceeded. You connect all layers of the organization and know exactly how to create ownership and buy-in.You achieve this by:

• monitoring performance, planning, safety, quality and customer & employee satisfaction;
• translating customer expectations into clear operational frameworks;
• coaching colleagues in leadership, ownership and change capability;
• addressing escalations, implementing structural solutions and stimulating continuous improvement;
• balancing people-focused leadership with achieving ambitious KPIs.

In this position, you manage a large logistics operation and lead a team of supervisors. You are part of the local MT and report directly to the Branch Director.

You bring

• a minimum of higher professional education (HBO) level, with at least three years of management experience in a logistics environment;
• demonstrated success in large-scale operational leadership;
• knowledge of HR responsibilities such as absenteeism, sustainable employability, reintegration, recruitment, coaching and development planning;
• experience with WMS, KPI reporting, Lean/5S or continuous improvement;
• strong communication skills in both Dutch and English, and the ability to inspire and develop teams.
