Summary

DSV is hiring established two-driver CDL-A teams based in El Paso, TX for a dedicated route between El Paso and Phoenix, AZ.  This opportunity offers a consistent lane, predictable miles, competitive team pay, no-touch freight, and the stability of driving for one of the world's leading transport and logistics companies.

 

Drivers will operate as an established two-driver team, completing approximately 3–4 round trips per week between El Paso and Phoenix.

 

Drivers must apply as an existing team; we are not currently matching individual drivers with team partners. Both drivers must apply and independently meet all DSV hiring and qualification requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle as part of an established two-driver team on a dedicated route between El Paso, TX and Phoenix, AZ.
  • Complete approximately 3–4 round trips per week based on scheduled freight volume and operational needs.
  • Coordinate driving, rest periods, and route responsibilities with team driving partner to support safe, timely, and DOT-compliant delivery of freight.
  • Transport no-touch freight between DSV facilities, customer locations, and other designated pickup and delivery locations, including live load and live unload operations.
  • Maintain compliance with DOT Hours of Service regulations, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR), and all DSV safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform required pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Maintain accurate electronic logs, trip records, shipping documents, and other required documentation.
  • Safely couple and uncouple tractors and trailers, operate landing gear, open and secure trailer doors, and secure freight as required.
  • Safely position and back trailers into docks, yards, and designated loading and unloading areas.
  • Monitor equipment condition, fuel as needed, and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Communicate proactively and professionally with dispatch, operations, customers, and team driving partner regarding shipment status, delays, equipment concerns, or other issues that may impact service.
  • Follow all customer and facility safety, security, and operating requirements while at pickup and delivery locations.
  • Participate in all DOT-required drug and alcohol testing programs.
  • Promptly report accidents, incidents, injuries, cargo issues, service delays, and other required events in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain assigned equipment in a clean, safe, and professional condition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Must apply as part of an established two-driver team. DSV is not currently matching individual drivers with team partners for this position.
  • Both team members must independently meet all DSV hiring, safety, and DOT qualification requirements.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Meet all DOT qualification requirements under FMCSR Part 391, including maintaining a current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of verified commercial driving experience within the past four (4) years; three (3) or more years of over-the-road driving experience preferred.
  • Hazmat endorsement required.
  • TWIC card or ability to obtain one within ninety (90) days of employment, if required for the assigned operation.
  • Basic computer and electronic logging device (ELD) proficiency.
  • Satisfactory motor vehicle record and employment history.
  • No positive drug or alcohol test within the past five (5) years.
  • No DUI, DWI, reckless driving conviction, or speeding violation of 12 MPH or more over the posted speed limit within the past five (5) years.
  • No preventable accident involving bodily injury within the past three (3) years.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods while operating a commercial vehicle and use hands and fingers to operate vehicle controls and electronic equipment. The position also requires climbing, balancing, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and walking. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to safely operate commercial motor vehicles and perform required inspections.

 

The employee must be physically able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to:

  • Lift up to 50 pounds as required to perform routine driver and equipment-related duties.
  • Climb in and out of the tractor and trailer as required.
  • Couple and uncouple tractors and trailers and operate fifth-wheel release mechanisms.
  • Raise and lower trailer landing gear.
  • Perform required pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Operate vehicle controls safely and efficiently.
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, and pull as necessary to perform routine driver and equipment-related duties.
  • Stand and walk on a variety of surfaces, including concrete, asphalt, gravel, wood, and metal, which may occasionally be wet, uneven, or slippery.
  • Meet all applicable DOT physical qualification requirements.

 

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee works both inside the cab of a commercial vehicle and outdoors at customer locations, terminals, and loading facilities. The employee may be exposed to diesel fumes, airborne particles, varying weather conditions, moderate to loud noise levels, vehicle vibration, uneven or slippery walking surfaces, loading docks, warehouses, terminals, and public roadways.

 

This position operates as part of an established two-driver team and requires drivers to share the tractor and coordinate driving and rest periods while away from their domicile.

For this position, the expected base pay is $1.30 per mile for the truck, plus $25 per paid stop for the truck, with mileage and stop pay split evenly between the two team drivers. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
