Purpose of the position:

The Operational Excellence Manager consults and provides expertise on process interdependencies within the production systems (TANGO and satellite applications), with an emphasis on standardization, productivity, feasibility, and mitigation of business risks. We collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure scope realization, with the aim of achieving high-quality/productive solutions. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Business requirement management (e.g. vetting and clarification of underlying business requirements, ensuring coverage of all relevant business cases). This includes the review/preparation of new business requests, and/or review of solution concepts/solution strategy.  

• Identifies and addressing process interdependence. 

• Performs feasibility checks and in-depth analysis where required. 

• Identifies and manages business risks associated with requirements with respect to uncertainty, scope, complexity, and impact on related processes and systems. 

• Provides business expertise for the definition of the solution strategy and formulates process alternatives as required and feasible. 

• Provides business support for escalated cases requiring in-depth functional knowledge in close collaboration with the Support Team. 

Required Experience and Education:

• Business Knowledge Air & Sea. 

• Deep understanding of Air & Sea business processes and supporting systems & tools. 

• Strong analytical mindset with focus on business analysis and the identification of underlying business requirements, implications, and constraints. 

• Strong communications, influencing and negotiations skills incl. track record of presenting to large groups and top management groups at board meetings or at conferences. 

• Cooperative team working attitude. 

• Quality and efficiency driven working style. 

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other global or regional teams. 

• Fluent in Business English (spoken and written). 

• Proactive, positive, enthusiastic and self-driven. 

• Several years track record in a business analyst and/or functional requirement analysis and specification related role in global freight forwarding. 
• Knowledge in TANGO, and optional CW1, EQP / GRIT, nGXD, FargoTops. 
• Bachelor’s degree in related technical / business areas, or equivalent work experience. 

• Work experience in Air / Sea Freight
