Join the team at DSV in Fareham and play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient movement of cargo to and from the Channel Islands. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you’ll manage customer bookings, coordinate with carriers and internal teams, and ensure all operational, customs and legislative requirements are met to deliver exceptional service and maximise efficiency.

What will you be doing?

•    Manage customer export and import bookings, ensuring all requirements are met accurately and professionally. 
•    Coordinate with DSV offices, agents, shipping lines, hauliers and customs to keep freight moving smoothly. 
•    Ensure full compliance with legislation, customs procedures and company operational standards. 
•    Arrange transport through approved hauliers, negotiating pricing when required. 
•    Prepare all necessary documentation for warehouse, distribution and shipping teams. 
•    Handle general administration including invoicing, cost checking, claims and queries. 
•    Communicate clearly and efficiently with customers, suppliers, and internal departments. 
•    Support daily planning of collections and deliveries to maximise resource efficiency. 
•    Maintain a strong awareness of transport and HM Customs regulations.

About You

•    Strong IT skills and confidence using digital communication tools
•    Recent experience in a freight forwarding role (preferred). 
•    Excellent communication skills with colleagues and external stakeholders. 
•    A proactive approach to compliance, safety, and operational standards. 
•    Ability to work accurately in a fast paced, team focused environment.
