DSV are recruiting for an experienced and motivated National RFQ Specialist to join our team of freight forwarding professionals in Feltham.

 

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the UK RFQ process, from preparation to submission.

 

  • The successful candidate will be astute in the RFQ process and will have a keen eye for detail.

 

 

Key Tasks

 

  • Co-ordinate and manage the local RFQ process from preparation to submission

 

  • Liaise with various stakeholders to gather all necessary information for RFQs, including internal departments, customers, suppliers and vendors

 

  • Prepare and compile RFQ documents in accordance with RFQ requirements and company standards

 

  • Analyze and evaluate RFQ documents, identifying potential risks and recommending solutions to ensure successful RFQ outcomes

 

 

Duties / Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure all RFQs are submitted in a timely and accurate manner

 

  • Continuously monitor RFQ results and provide feedback to the relevant parties

 

  • Maintain accurate records of all RFQ documentation and ensure they are filed and organized properly

 

  • Participate in post-RFQ meetings with clients and internal stakeholders where necessary

 

  • Maintain and manage periodic rate updates for awarded business

 

 

Skills and Competencies

 

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in freight forwarding & pricing

 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

 

  • Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work

 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Dynamics

 

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
