SUMMARY

The DSV Road Business Change Manager focuses on overseeing change projects, system and business enhancement implementations while developing, coordinating and providing necessary training to ensure successful delivery of a project. Furthermore, the Business Change Manager uses the ADKAR methodology to ensure successful change implementation to realize the expected ROI of each project. The Business Change Manager is responsible for business engagement, prioritization and requirements management on mid-to large scale projects for DSV business units, with a focus on change management initiatives and facilitation. This position will participate in defining business objectives, engage business users in capturing use cases, workflows, requirements and map current and future state process flows.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leverages the Prosci methodology, ADKAR model, change processes, tools and techniques to manage the people side of change to achieve the required business outcome.
  • Successfully performs the three phases of a change project; Preparing, Managing and Reinforcing change, with a focus on change management strategies, communication and implementation plans, coaching and training plans, as well as resistance management and corrective action planning, to name a few.
  • Gathers, measures and reports on expected project benefits, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs) and return on investment (ROI) of the change, and recommend and implement necessary actions to ensure expectations are met.
  • Perform organizational and change assessments to ready the project team and plan for the expected impact of the proposed changes.
  • Assists with developing Business Intelligence (BI) reporting for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leverages best practices (for example, SMART) in the gathering and documentation of business, functional, and non-functional requirements for solutions that may span multiple business areas by partnering with business, IT, Finance and other stakeholders.
  • Aids in the creation and evolution of applications, systems and processes toward desired state functionality through deep understanding of current state and future state processes.
  • Supports solution design and execution through active collaboration with project, business, IT and support teams, facilitate translation of business requirements into system impacts and participate in impact analysis of proposed system changes.
  • Responsibilities may include coordination of minor to mid-sized projects through a framework of planning, coordinating, scheduling, evaluating, communicating and managing work and resources.
  • Prepares business cases, documents expectations, calculates ROI, identifies KPIs, and initiates and facilitates projects on a case-by-case basis.
  • Proactively manages changes in project scope or schedule and assess their impact on budgets, business processes or other initiatives.
  • Elicits requirements using interviews and workshops, document analysis and business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, tasks and workflows.
  • Creates and distributes documentation as needed: Functional requirements, Business Requirements, Value Stream Maps (VSM), Use Cases, End-to-End testing documents, Mock-up Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, Project Plans, etc.
  • Ensures adequate user acceptance testing (UAT) for new capabilities and solutions.
  • Independently prioritizes projects and tasks to deliver value to the business.
  • Introduces best practice and process improvement ideas wherever appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, or experience in lieu of education.
  • 5 years of experience as a Change Consultant, Logistics Engineer, Business Analyst or a related field.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

  • Prosci ADKAR change management certification preferred

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

 

Computer Skills

  • Transportation Management System (TMS) experience
  • Experience with Business Intelligence Tools is desired.
  • Microsoft Office 360 Suite – incl. Outlook, Excel, Visio, Word, Power Point, Teams, OneNote.

 

Language Skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, reading and communication skills in English required

 

Mathematical Skills

  • Intermediate

 

Other Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
  • Knowledge of and experience following industry standard best practices in change management, process mapping and business analysis.
  • Experience with executive and cross-functional presentations and communication.
  • Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience and proven ability to perform process mapping (Value Stream Mapping) of current and future state.
  • Keen understanding of Transportation Management Systems (TMS), logistics/brokerage processes and how different 3rd party and internal systems interact (via EDI, API, etc.) to function efficiently.
  • Acts as a positive role model to all team members (e.g. punctual, prepared and performs at high standards).
  • Displays flexibility and creativity in problem solving and meeting work assignments while ensuring compliance with DSV policies and procedures.

  • Excellent time management skills, ability to handle multiple concurrent projects, and prioritize multiple requests.
  • Self-starter, assertive, independent and can work without close supervision on multiple concurrent projects.
  • A deep understanding of the process of identifying and clarifying business requirements is desired, as well as innate talents around investigating and organizing business requirements.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with key business and technology partners.
  • Must be a team player with outstanding interpersonal skills and possess an ability to communicate both verbally and in writing at various levels of the organization and across various groups.
