Move forward as Junior Freight Forwarder Export Air at DSV in Hapert 

Are you a strong planner, do you enjoy solving puzzles and thrive in a dynamic working environment? At DSV, you will learn the air freight business in 6 months through on-the-job training while organising international shipments for our high-tech customers.

Ensuring that time-critical air freight reaches its destination safely, correctly and on time: you’re on it.

How you do this? As a junior freight forwarder air export, you manage the transport process from A to Z and find the best route, flight and schedule for every shipment. Attention to detail is essential, as incorrect information or documentation can cause delays. Air freight experience is not required: your colleagues will teach you everything you need to know on the job. You achieve this by:

• processing and coordinating daily air freight shipments and booking the best route, flight and schedule;
• maintaining contact with customers, airlines, airports and DSV locations worldwide;
• checking and processing transport and customs documentation, ensuring every shipment meets the applicable requirements;
• monitoring shipments, proactively updating customers and quickly finding solutions to delays or other operational issues.

Your team stands out within DSV because of its open atmosphere, strong collaboration and high level of customer service. Our export department consists of 4 teams, each with its own specialism or customer group. We look closely at your strengths and decide together which team will enable you to perform at your best. You will receive guidance from experienced colleagues and can always turn to someone with a question. Together, you work hard for your customers while still making plenty of room for fun and humour.

You bring

• MBO level of working and thinking, with experience in logistics, customer service or another dynamic working environment being an advantage;
• a good command of written and spoken English; Dutch is an advantage;
• an affinity with systems and administrative processes, combined with an accurate, service-oriented and proactive approach;
• an eagerness to learn, strong teamwork skills, attention to detail and an interest in planning;
• availability for 40 hours per week, your own transport to reach our location in Hapert and the ability to apply for a VGB security clearance.
