Move forward as Business Application Specialist at DSV in Haps
Do you get energy from turning systems inside out? Can't you wait to get to the bottom of our Warehouse Management System? And do you know how to discover all the secrets of our system until a solution is found? Then we are looking for you!

At DSV, we are constantly challenged by both our customers and our internal organisation. Together with your colleagues, you will take care of our warehouse management system. You will carry out projects aimed at setting up and optimising logistics information systems and applications. You’re on it!

How do you achieve this? Knowledge sharing is central within a regional team of process and application engineers. Together with your colleague application specialist in Haps, you take care of all day-to-day matters; think of malfunctions in the warehouse, questions from operations or input and output for the new project. In doing so, you always strive for the most efficient implementation of our logistics services, attuned to internal and external customer requirements. You accomplish this by:

•    daily picking up all kinds of reports or malfunctions we receive for our warehouse management system. These can be both 1st-line (short-term) and 2nd-line requests;
•    signalling deviations and trends in the reports. For common reports, you will naturally look for the root of the problem. You then work with your team to find a sustainable solution within the system.
•    specify operational and external customer requirements for IT developers;
•    proactively contribute to improvements and solutions for the WMS with Redprairie/JDA Dispatcher;
•    actively participate in projects to improve the logistics process, including large-scale automation projects, and provide operational support to the primary process.

Your team stands out within DSV for its short lines of communication, flat organisation and nice mix of knowledge and experience. Your team includes colleagues with a background in IT, but also colleagues with experience in logistics. You bring

•    some experience and knowledge of logistics processes, warehouse management systems and SQL, preferably combined with experience in logistics automation/mechanisation.
•    analytical ability and the ability to translate operational and external customer requirements into specifications for IT;
•    a natural curiosity for applications and systems
•    thoroughness, you keep searching until you find the solution;
•    strong communication skills in the English language.
