Role Summary:  

As a transport operator you will be providing good, accurate and clear information to both drivers and customers to ensure that goods arrive at their destination on time and in the best possible condition. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing a comprehensive logistics operation, ensuring efficient delivery to the Customer. The scope is ranging from inbound transport to the Fulfillment center in Ras al Gasabah and the final mile delivery to the customer on Sindalah. You will collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.  

 

Responsibilities:  

Work as part of the team to Operate, continuously develop & improve the transport operations. Ensuring safe and efficient transport in accordance with company operational procedures and statutory requirements including Health & Safety to the satisfaction of clients and the profit of the company. 

  • Vehicle Monitoring and tracking. 

  • Communicating with drivers & Customers and any other stakeholders. 

  • Working on the TMS by entering & updating data. 

  • Assisting the planning of vehicles. 

  • Perform and correctly implement General Administration, e.g., invoicing; filing; queries; claims; check costs in accordance with departmental requirements.  

  • Utilize vehicle fleet in the most effective way. 

  • Any reports/KPI's required. 

  • Adhering to all traffic office functions in line with company policies and procedures. 

 

Essential skills  

  • Excellent Communicator. 

  • Good Customer Service. 

  • Proficient in PC and Transport Operating Systems. 

  • Knowledge of Drivers Hours & Transport Regulations. 

  • Ability to multi-task under pressure. 

  • Problem solving. 

  • Work effectively as part of a team. 

  • Familiarity with industry-related software and technologies. 

  • Able to deal effectively in demanding situations, to manage continuity, change and transition. 

  • Strategic mindset, results oriented, and goal driven. 

  • Can DO mentality, hands-on.
