As part of the Supply Chain Optimisation team located at our headquarters in Hedehusene, Denmark, you will be working together with 13 likeminded colleagues locally, but you will be part of a larger global team. We are a diverse group of supply chain specialist with different backgrounds, but we all share a joint passion for supply chain management, so you will be sure to be challenged and develop professionally.

 

Help build better supply chains

In this position you will get the opportunity to help advise on international supply chain optimisation projects for existing and potential DSV customers, work with the latest SCM approaches and tools and ensure that we continuously look for ways to improve our analytical competencies and capabilities.

 

As an Analyst, you will be working closely with the other analysts and advisors in the teams. You will take lead on analytical tasks (e.g. network design and transport optimisation problems) related to specific customer projects as well as assist and drive internal projects that will enable us to take our supply chain capabilities to the next level.

 

Your tasks include:

  • Manage and execute optimisation projects with existing and potential customers
  • Contribute to and/or take responsibility for analytical work related to customer projects
  • Present complex analysis results in a simple, clear and concise fashion
  • Help translate analysis results into tangible action
  • Help define and develop new data analysis tools and services

 

An analytical talent with a passion for supply chain management

The typical candidate has finalised her/his master’s degree with exceptional results in the fields of supply chain management, transport and logistics, operations research or another relevant field with a mathematical and analytical focus. The right candidate is a team player with a strong drive, takes initiative and thrives in a changing environment with an acute sense of detail and a motivation towards understanding and solving customers’ supply chain challenges. 

 

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualities:

  • You have 0-3 years of experience from a similar position
  • You have great analytical skills
  • You know Excel and PowerPoint like the back of your hand
  • You have experience in doing data analysis in a scripted language, preferably python
  • You have excellent communication & stakeholder management skills
  • You speak and write English fluently
  • Familiarity with optimisation theory and location modelling is an advantage
