Do you want to enable our management to effectively evaluate our strategic initiatives – through a benefit realisation framework that you will create from scratch? And doing so, utilising data and creating processes to ensure that we know what ideas and benefits to reap and which to shelve?

Join a brand new team still in the making

In DSV, we are establishing a strategic portfolio management office where you will join our new Enterprise Portfolio Management team. The team will consist of you and 2 other project directors focusing on governance and tooling & reporting respectively – and the Head of Enterprise Portfolio Management, with whom you will get a close working relationship. 

 

“This is a chance to join our team at the very beginning, enabling you to truly make your mark on benefit realisation in DSV – not just taking over old assignments, but building things from the ground up,” Tine continues.

 

You will get a broad range of stakeholders, ranging from Corporate Development peers and IT to our Power BI owners and senior management – as well as change managers across DSV. 

 

Drive the build-up of impactful benefit realisation 

Your overall goal will be to ensure that we achieve maximum value from our strategic initiatives and platforms. This should eventually result in a standardised benefit realisation framework, providing our leadership with the transparency to evaluate initiatives based on comparison of (expected) benefit realisation.

 

Starting from scratch, you will initially have a true entrepreneurial role, as well as being the expert on the area, and you will start with defining the strategy for benefit realisation in DSV together with the Head of Enterprise Portfolio Management. When processes and frameworks are in place, you will ensure continuous improvement, so that our processes and ways of working are updated according to our strategy as well as new best practices.

 

More specifically, you will:

  • Create a standardised benefit realisation framework, making benefit realisation transparent, measurable and comparable across various initiatives and platforms in DSV
  • Deep dive into data, analysing and utilising it to provide insights into the performance and value delivery of the portfolio of products, platforms and strategic initiatives
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of benefits realisation; from initial planning and identification through to tracking, measurement, and reporting
  • Keep up-to-date on developments in the area, ensuring that we are always on top of best practices for benefit realisation 

 

A full benefit realisation toolbox and a solid drive

You have the motivation and independence to get things rolling – while still thriving when seeing your ideas come to life and the everyday optimisation and finetuning that comes with that. Furthermore, you have a structured mindset and are comfortable creating that structure in an ambiguous and ambitious environment.

 

You are a great stakeholder manager who has the personal and professional stamina to interact and communicate with top management as well as specialists. 

 

Besides that, we imagine that you have:

  • Solid experience with benefit realisation in large and complex organisations
  • Experience with building a new standard from scratch and rolling it out
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies 
  • Experience with driving change in an organisation
  • The ability to ask critical questions in a diplomatic manner and ensure buy-in
