Job Req Number: 110617
Time Type: Full Time
Are you ready to help us build a service catalogue that will become a vital tool for literally thousands of colleagues all around the globe in their daily work?
Then join us and help formalise the structure for how we internally deliver our services as well as establish the foundation for how we present our services to customers. In essence, you will be architecting products for DSV.
In your new role, you will constantly learn something new, as you gather, document, and standardise knowledge about all products across the DSV divisions while facilitating collaboration across various branches.
“It is extremely satisfying to simplify the complexity of our products, standardising them so we can keep the promises we have made to our customers. In doing so, we are challenging the boundaries of our organisation to create something that is needed globally,” says your new manager Sinti van den Berg.
Welcome to a social team at the core of our business
You will join 10 colleagues in Enterprise Design – more specifically, our Service Catalogue Team – where 5 colleagues look forward to welcoming you.
As owners of our service catalogue, it is our shared responsibility to document our existing global products and solutions and to architect standardised operations so that we consistently deliver as promised. Furthermore, we ensure that the catalogue is digitally enabled, making products and services easy to track.
“As a manager, I focus on people over tasks and on creating a safe environment that fosters constructive feedback. And I have the pleasure of managing a team that is a great mix of introverts and extroverts who easily find common ground,” Sinti continues.
Build and document our service catalogue through extensive collaboration
You will be one of the 3 business analysts in newly created roles, each being responsible for architecting and orchestrating service catalogues across the 4 DSV divisions – road, contract logistics (warehousing), air & sea and global products. The catalogue itself is managed in an in-house-built application, and we will ensure that you get a thorough introduction.
You will take each product through our operationalisation process by orchestrating the creation of master data and standard business processes. This requires a huge degree of interaction with various subject matter experts within business and technology, attention to detail, and a problem-solving mentality as you translate business requirements into concrete specifications and product features.
Some of your tasks will be to:
- Facilitate the creation and refinement of product and service definitions for enterprise-level offerings and ensure alignment with overall strategic goals, customer needs, and industry trends
- Establish and refine processes for defining and documenting enterprise products and services and ensure compliance with internal standards, methodologies, and governance frameworks
- Ensure up-to-date and relevant documentation by creating and maintaining clear, comprehensive product and service specifications, including functional requirements, user stories, and use cases
- Orchestrate tasks and deliverables by applying basic project management skills and methodologies
You enjoy working hands-on and can distil simplicity from complexity
You know how to shape our existing business to fit a standardised framework – mostly through others. This also means that you are able to prioritise the input of various stakeholders. Should there be misalignment between facts and processes, you take a constructive and curious approach.
Furthermore, we imagine that you have:
- A bachelor's degree, perhaps in engineering or business – and maybe even a master’s
- A basic understanding of enterprise product development and lifecycle management
- A basic understanding of project management methodologies
- Experience with business analysis and requirements gathering, and you are a skilled facilitator
- Excellent verbal and written English skills
