A new team focused on creating a new data foundation

Within Global IT and the Enterprise Transformation team, you will be welcomed into the Product Advanced Analytics team that has 6 specialists – 2 profiling analysts, 2 data engineers, and 2 mapping analysts.

Together, we are supporting DSV’s transformation to become more sustainable and digital through understanding how data can be utilised, structured, linked, and mapped. To achieve this, we are creating a new data foundation – a new data platform.

You link the raw data with our new data structure

As our new data mapping analyst, you will be the focal point between the data source to the new data platform. Doing so, you will go through the data lines, field by field and document what we have versus what we need to have in the final, structured version.

More specifically, you will:

• Interpret different data formats (XML, positional flatfiles, JSON, Avro, etc.)
• Provide documented translation specifications (mappings) from one data format to another
• Understand and document the usage of data within the values of the received data formats
• Identify and document gaps between producing and consuming applications and the Enterprise Data Models based on translation specifications (mappings) and usage analysis
• Build and hold relationships with System of Record (TMS’s, WMS’s, FMS’s, etc.) SMEs to perform data attribute mapping and understand data structure, use, and flows and document in agreed format

Strong communicator with high attention to detail

With your excellent communication skills, you are able to present clear and concise findings to a range of audiences, facilitating interactions to gain insight. Also, you have great analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach with a high attention to detail and accuracy.

Furthermore, we imagine that you:

• Most likely have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in e.g., computer science or similar – but if you have good experience with TMS systems in a technical business setting, that is definitely a good alternative
• Bring TMS/WMS/FMS and/or ERP knowledge
• Are able to establish a strong network that enables efficient input, question resolution, and drives improvement to source documentation and data gap improvement
• Have an excellent level of written and spoken English
• Are able to navigate in a transformative setting and adapt to new goals and processes along the way
