Joining our team will grant you the opportunity to actively support the business development of our global Contract Logistics activities and to operate and communicate within an international network. The role is global and can therefore be placed anywhere in the world.
As our new Director you will be identifying, securing and drive commercial management of all new and growth business in the CL/SCM Consumer Vertical Market.
Your tasks wil be:
- Drive the global CL-Consumer business development activities:
- Land new business and grow existing portfolio: actively approaching the market in search for new business by building and managing executive level relationships with key global customers in consumer segment
- coordinating and managing projects during tender and implementation phase on corporate and regional level

- Support Consumer GADs with large, focused CL-opportunities;
- Translate the global Consumer strategy into focused Business Development:
- Drive the growth of the focused subverticals in particular:
- Formulate and execute a business plan to drive the growth of the FASHION subvertical
- Drive the growth of our omnichannel proposition
- Define required, missing commercial product / services to fuel our growth.
- Drive pipeline management based on size, conversion, regions etc.

Organisation:
- Cooperate with the regional CCO’s, Consumer leads to drive Consumer growth
- Lead and Manage the CL-Consumer BD team (currently 3 persons).
Tasks in detail:
- Establishing target accounts by working with Key Account Management and Regional Sales to develop business for Contract Logistics in Consumer segment
- As part of the Vertical Team, make a significant contribution to Strategic Development plan over next 5 years connected to business with Consumer customers
- Manage and lead the key sales processes from initial investigation, through business award and into successful implementation
- Forming the link between sales and solution design. Lead key RFQ responses to include solution design concepts, deadlines, supply added information, presentation, and process / status tracking. Analyzing of customer demands and complex logistic tender and facilitates work sessions with the internal and external solutions teams
- Understand Contract Logistics requirements, and facilitates work sessions with the internal and external CL teams to deliver leading warehouse solutions for our clients
- Demonstrating the ability to identify gap analysis of the current services at customer site and build scope of work and prepare appropriate response for the identified needs
- Completing deal summary outlining scope of work as well as assisting on financial model detailing cost and pricing elements
Your profile
- Minimum Bachelor level in Logistics
- 10+ years of experience in Consumer sector and/or logistics business (CL, SCM)
- 5+ years proven in leading customer facing role for a leading large account (ideally large Consumer customer)
- Fashion-Industry experience preferred
- Proven understanding of warehousing processes & future trends
- Experience and success in large-scale BD projects and evidence of delivering new business wins
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization across many different cultures and countries
- Ability to travel abroad frequently
- Ability to set own agenda and work under own initiative
- Fluent English language skills essential
