Join a brand new team still in the making

In DSV, we are establishing a strategic portfolio management office where you will join our new Enterprise Portfolio Management team. The team consists of you and other members focusing on benefit realisation. 

 

“This is a chance to join our team at the very beginning, enabling you to truly make your mark on our strategic portfolio management in DSV – not just taking over old assignments, but building things from the ground up,” Tine continues.

 

You will get a close working relationship with and be a true sounding board to the Head of Enterprise Portfolio Management who will be setting the strategic direction that you will then operationalise. You will further get a broad range of stakeholders, ranging from Corporate Development peers and IT to our Power BI owners and senior management, as well as change managers across DSV. 

 

Analyse the business – then inspire change 

As Governance and Adoption Officer you will support the development and maintenance of a robust governance framework for strategic portfolio management – taking strategic direction and translating it into operational tasks, which you will then execute. Doing so, you will be creating standards, procedures, and templates to ensure consistent governance across all portfolio management activities. 

 

Your first task will be to familiarise yourself with our current ways of working and getting a good understanding of business needs – and then, you will: 

  • Own the creation and continuous improvement of governance and compliance processes and templates, based on industry best practices and feedback loops from users in DSV. 
  • Create business requirement specifications for strategic portfolio management tools for IT.
  • Use your toolbox within change management to develop and deliver training programs to ensure that all team members involved in DSV’s enterprise portfolio management understand and adhere to the governance. 
  • Foster an understanding and acceptance of governance and compliance through the organisation – e.g. through conducting feedback sessions. 

 

Change management experience and business acumen 

While you have a strong strategic business understanding, you are able to convey the overall goals into smaller and tangible actions – and communicate them without corporate fluff. You are also not afraid to get your hands dirty and handle tasks yourself. 

 

You further understand how to analyse a situation, ask critical questions in a diplomatic way and ensure buy-in by genuinely listening to and appreciating input from all levels, whether it be top management or specialists. 

 

Besides being structured and detail-oriented in your work, we also expect you to bring: 

  • Experience with taking a strategic direction, breaking it in to actionable tasks and then delivering on them.
  • Experience building an efficient strategic portfolio management framework and governing it (including continuous development). 
  • Experience with creating and standardising processes, templates and governance.
  • Solid change management experience – both on a strategic and communicative level.
  • Knowledge of agile methodology such as SAFe.
