Job Req Number:  82136
Time Type: Full Time

Would you like to work in depth with financial and non-financial controlling on your own portfolio of global, complex subsidiaries?

Join us to work with both financial and non-financial reporting and be part of creating the best foundation for decision-making at top management level – from monthly reporting to profitability analysis and sustainability reporting.

“In the world of logistics, supply and demand create challenges but also new and exciting opportunities to work in new ways and learn on a constant basis,” says Anders Groot, Director, Group Controlling.

Welcome to Group Controlling

We are 45 international colleagues based in Poland, Portugal, Denmark, and Asia, and together we are responsible for all consolidated reporting and controlling activities of DSV. Specifically, you will join our Air & Sea team of 10 colleagues, where we handle the controlling and reporting of a portfolio of over 150 subsidiaries. You will be working at the DSV’s office in Hedehusene, Denmark.

“Working across countries and time zones, we are 5 nationalities working and learning as a team while having the flexibility to plan our work independently and enjoy a great work-life balance,” explains Anders.

Controlling and reporting of DSV subsidiaries

In DSV, we have subsidiaries in 80 countries, and we will make sure to give you a portfolio of about 15 that match your skills and will continue to build your toolbox. Some of the subsidiaries also go beyond transport, where you will work with, e.g. our insurance subsidiary, and work more holistically on the controlling processes.

Specifically, your job will be to advise the subsidiaries in relation to reporting, IFRS, and other internal DSV guidelines. You will also have some ad-hoc assignments in relation to project and strategy work involving process optimisation.
Collaborating with other Group functions, including Group Tax, Group Compliance, Group Legal, etc., you will:

  • Carry out controlling and internal reporting to division and group management
  • Spend approx. 25 working days per year visiting your subsidiaries
  • Produce analyses, business cases for investments, and KPI reporting for management
  • Provide regular support to subsidiaries, e.g. in relation to reporting
  • Carry out external reporting, e.g. interim and annual reports to the market
  • Work on integration tasks, e.g., opening balances, reviewingbusiness cases and synergies

“Sustainability takes up more and more of our time, so you will also be looking into non-financial reporting of, e.g., CO2 emissions, electricity, and waste and assist in ensuring a sustainable footprint,” says Anders.

The Great Wall or Machu Picchu – take your financial background to new places

As we have subsidiaries in 80 countries, we are looking for a colleague who is able to travel for about 4-5 weeks a year around the world. Moreover, you take a methodical and structured approach to your work with your subsidiaries, and you do not mind if your tasks change as supply and demand control our market. Finally, we imagine that you:

  • Have a financial background, e.g., an MSc in Business Administration and Auditing
  • Have some years of controlling and reporting experience from a global company
  • Have excellent Excel skills and the ability to create business cases
  • May have knowledge of SAP S/4Hana
  • Fluent in English
