Your Role – Contractual & Insurance Risk Management

You will join our Global Risk Management team, working closely with stakeholders across regions and business divisions.

Your primary focus will be to identify, assess, and manage risks arising from contractual obligations and liability frameworks, ensuring alignment with DSV’s global insurance programs.

You will:

• Assess contractual risk exposure and liability structures
• Advise on insurance solutions linked to contract terms and legal risk allocation
• Support contract negotiations with a focus on risk transfer, liability, and insurability
• Contribute to the underwriting of contractual liabilities
• Strengthen alignment between legal commitments and insurance coverage
• Develop global frameworks for contract-related risk governance

Key Responsibilities

• Structure risk in complex international contracts from a legal and insurance standpoint
• Advise on freight forwarder liability and coverage implications
• Support underwriting of contractual liabilities and non-standard risks
• Contribute to the renewal of the Global Marine Insurance Program
• Develop guidelines and SOPs for managing contractual risk exposure
• Drive projects related to risk processes, contract tools, and training
• Collaborate with global insurers and reinsurers on liability and coverage solutions

Who You Are

You bring a strong interest in risk management from a contractual and insurance perspective and thrive in an international, commercially driven environment.

You likely:

• Have a legal background in transportation law, commercial law, or similar
• Understand contractual liability structures and risk allocation mechanisms
• Bring experience from insurance, underwriting, brokerage, or legal advisory
• Can translate legal and liability risk into practical insurance solutions
• Are analytical, structured, and commercially minded
• Communicate confidently across a global organisation

Your Base

You’ll be based at our headquarters in Hedehusene, working in an international team where English is the primary language.
