As part of the Insurance Management team in DSV Insurance, the mission is to support the business with comprehensive insurance solutions taking both legal and commercial perspectives into consideration in order to protect the DSV Group as well as our customers’ goods. 

With its recent acquisitions of Panalpina and Agility GIL, DSV has grown significantly in size and strengthened our lead position in the global logistics arena. This poses new and exciting challenges for the Insurance Management team to deliver high-quality insurance solutions that match the complexity of our organisation and global customers.

Help link insurance with our global business 

In your new position, you will join a highly experienced team of insurance and logistic professionals with a global reach, located in various countries. Besides your daily tasks related to management of the DSV Group global insurance programs, you will also be involved in new development projects together with the team. Projects that aim to streamline and optimise the global insurance management setup, insurance reporting, systems and insurance solutions to match our new organisational reality. 

Your tasks will be to:

• Daily management (i.e. underwriting, risk management and claims handling) of our global P&C insurance programs, such as Property Insurance, General Liability, Financial lines, Travel and Expat insurance programs
• Involvement in tender and renewal of our global insurance programs
• Involvement in conducting training sessions for the DSV staff globally
• Initiate and manage new development projects within Insurance Management – e.g. to implement new products, investigate regional and global insurance programs and framework for value reporting under the Property Insurance program
• Ensure continuous risk management across our global activities and identify exposures
• Establish a solid relationship and corporation with our global insurers and brokers, our Regional Insurance Managers, and other stakeholders across DSV.
• Support your colleagues with identification of risk exposures in complex global customer contracts with regards to property and liability exposures and participate in contract negotiations with customers and internal stakeholders

Ambitious and entrepreneurial spirit with a background in insurance or commercial law 

Whether you have graduated recently, or you have years of experience, you are interested in specialising within the highly complex field of insurance and build yourself a global career within DSV. Moreover, you:

• Have a personal drive and a commercial understanding and are very ambitious and ready to walk the extra mile to achieve your goals
• Have a background in insurance e.g. claims handler, underwriter or broker 
• Are highly analytical and process-oriented and can apply a commercial perspective to make sound decisions from a business point of view
• Have strong communication skills and you have the ability to empower yourself in a simple and clear way whether it be verbally or in written
• Ability to demonstrate stakeholder management skills, so you can corporate and drive processes with colleagues, partners and customers from around the globe
• Thrive in the role of a decision-maker where you will not be able to meet everyone’s needs, but you will stand up as a prudent ambassador for the overall DSV Group
• Communicate effortlessly in Danish and English
