Job Req Number: 113036
Time Type: Full Time
Would you like to grow within project management, logistics, and global operations? Step into a global role where key customers, data, collaboration, and continuous improvement meet – in the world’s largest logistics company.
This is your opportunity to join a truly international environment where you will support key initiatives across major global customer accounts. And build a strong foundation for a future in project management or consulting.
Welcome to our Global Customer Management (GCM) Competence Center
In the GCM Competence Center, we support Global Customer Management by delivering standardized management systems, analytics, reporting frameworks, as well as improved ways of working across major global accounts. This is a newly established team in our global organization and we act as a start-up to improve our GCM with our most important global customers. Your new team acts as an internal partner and strategic consultant, driving transparency, continuous improvement, best practice sharing, and operational excellence. You want to think out of the box in a truly global environment?
Play a key supporting role in enabling your team’s activities.
As our new Junior Project Manager, you will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of different global projects such as setting up management systems, reporting packages, and improvement initiatives across global customer accounts within our growing division Contract Logistics. This entails working with global colleagues from different cultures, data, coordinating projects, and collaborating across various functions to help drive consistency, transparency, and efficiency in GCM operations.
Specifically, you will:
- Carry out reporting and performance analysis, collecting and consolidating data, preparing regular performance reports, supporting the identification of performance gaps and improvement opportunities, and ensuring accuracy and consistency of reporting templates.
- Handle project coordination and PMO support, assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring small projects or workstreams, maintaining project documentation, timelines, and task trackers, and preparing presentations, following up with stakeholders on deliverables and deadlines.
- Support management systems and standardization, helping to create and maintain standard packages and documentation. You will also assist in documenting definitions, processes, and best practices, and support development of frameworks to improve transparency across GCM accounts.
- Be part of improvement and innovation activities, gathering best practices and cross-account insights, supporting pilot projects, tracking opportunities for broader rollout, and coordinating workshops, ideation sessions, and internal knowledge-sharing events.
- Support integration activities for global customers, collaborating with internal departments such as Performance Management, Finance, IT, Business Architecture & Integrations, and acting as a reliable point of contact for assigned operational or strategic project topics.
Experience in logistics, supply chain, operations, consulting, or project support
We are looking for a new colleague with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a multicultural environment. You have a proactive, hands-on mindset, taking ownership of tasks and being able to handle multiple stakeholders, while prioritizing and meeting deadlines. At the same time, you are curious, eager to learn, and good at finding out of the box solutions.
Finally, we imagine that you:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field (a master’s is an advantage but not a prerequisite).
- Have a few years of experience in logistics, supply chain, operations, consulting, or project support (internships included).
- Have strong analytical skills, making you comfortable working with data sets, and you may have experience with data analysis, reporting, or process documentation, though this is only a plus.
- Possess basic project management skills (knowledge of PM methods/tools is an advantage).
- Understand logistics or 3PL concepts – or you are willing to learn quickly.
- Fluent in English.
