Job Req Number:  121963
Time Type: Full Time

How often do you get to design the finance system landscape a global logistics leader will run on for the next decade? DSV is in the middle of the largest integration in its history – and the architecture that emerges from it will be the one you define.

You will own the domain architecture for all finance capabilities across one of the world’s largest transport and logistics companies, set the direction for a platform that has grown more than fivefold in ten years, and chair the Design Authority Board that governs how our finance system architecture changes.

“Every change that alters our finance system architecture passes through the board you run. Your job is to make sure each decision moves us closer to the target architecture – and to explain the reasoning clearly, at every level of the organisation,” explains Claus Aggeboe, Director of Finance Business Architecture.

Welcome to Finance Transformation

Based at our headquarters in Hedehusene, Denmark, you will join our Finance Transformation department – more than 90 international colleagues working globally and across time zones on the integration of DSV and Schenker. You will report to the Director of Finance Business Architecture and work closely with Global IT, GPOs and divisional finance leadership.

Finance runs on a complex landscape of ERP, TMS and satellite applications that we are actively consolidating. Integrations of this scale are rare – and so is the mandate that comes with this one: a genuine window to simplify, standardise and decide what stays, what goes and what gets built.

Your responsibilities

You own the finance domain architecture end-to-end:

  • Own the business and system architecture of the end-to-end value chains across our finance domains – from invoicing to transactional and reporting data
  • Define and maintain the target system landscape for all finance-related capabilities, and set the direction for a finance platform that has grown more than fivefold in the last ten years
  • Chair the Design Authority Board for finance, governing all change requests that alter the finance system architecture
  • Own the architectural impact assessment and solution design for future business requirements raised by the business – including regulatory and compliance-driven needs such as e-invoicing mandates
  • Standardise and guide development to make our SAP S/4HANA systems landscape even more streamlined than today
  • Set and enforce architectural principles, standards and guardrails for finance applications
  • Provide decision material to senior finance and IT leadership on landscape choices, consolidation sequencing and technology trade-offs
  • Partner with Global IT enterprise architecture to keep the finance domain aligned with the group-wide application strategy
  • Document the current-state landscape and manage the roadmap from current state to target state

What we offer

  • A mandate, not a mapping exercise – the Design Authority Board gives your architectural decisions real authority
  • Direct visibility – your decision material lands with senior finance and IT leadership, and the reasoning behind it is yours to present
  • A problem worth solving – consolidating the finance landscape of two global logistics companies into one coherent architecture
  • An international team of specialists in the middle of a transformation few finance professionals ever experience first-hand

About you

You combine architectural rigour with the ability to bring stakeholders along on difficult decisions.

We imagine that you:

  • Have solid experience in business or enterprise architecture, ideally within a finance domain in a large international organisation
  • Know the finance application landscape – ERP (preferably SAP S/4HANA), invoicing and reporting platforms
  • Have run or participated in a design authority, architecture review board or similar governance forum
  • Understand compliance drivers for finance systems – e-invoicing regulation, tax determination, audit and reporting requirements
  • Can structure a complex landscape into clear decision material for executive audiences
  • Communicate confidently in English with stakeholders from analysts to executive management – and can stand behind an architectural decision when it is challenged
  • Have experience from post-merger integration or large-scale system consolidation (an advantage, not a prerequisite)

You may not recognise yourself in every point – if the mandate speaks to you and you bring most of the profile, we would still like to hear from you.
