In joining our team, you’ll be part of a dedicated team responsible for a portfolio of applications, where you will inhabit a key position in shaping and executing DSV’s digital product strategy and meet the needs of our colleagues and customers around the world. 

 

The team is anchored in the headquarter office, just outside Copenhagen, Denmark, and you’ll become part of our Corporate Development organization, which is responsible for supporting DSV’s customer focused agenda and internal business process globally. Our team of around 40 dedicated colleagues work together to shape user friendly, efficient and scalable applications – underpinning the core transport business of DSV – towards our customers by easing the exchange of information, creating transparency, providing insights and improving collaboration. 

 

The Role

As a product manager in the Booking Domain team, you will take ownership of a key area within the domain, where you will drive the development and adoption of one or more solution(s) and affiliated processes, which supports DSV’s strategic ambitions within the Order to Shipment value stream with a focus on Customer Bookings and Data Quality solutions. Further the role supports a close collaboration with business divisions and stakeholders globally through delivering tangible business value. To achieve this, it requires an open mindset towards how things are done today - which can include travel to understand local challenges - and the courage to challenge status quo. 

 

Essentially, by investigating and understanding DSV’s pain points, you will build up a critical foundation to form the functional requirements of the final solution(s) with focus on our Enterprise Data Service and adjacent services and technical components. Through this process, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Business, IT and Management, to jointly set the agenda, priority and road map / delivery plan for delivering exceptional products that drive customer value and business growth. Additionally, you will work with internal stakeholders to obtain (or support the creation of) data from relevant parts of the organization. 

 

As such, key responsibilities include (some may vary subject to final scope):

  • Product strategy: Develop, refine and manage the product vision, strategy and road map for one or more applications, safeguarding the stable delivery of scalable and cost-efficient solutions
  • Requirements & Solution Definition: Conduct in-depth analysis to gather and prioritize product requirements and determine solution design, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer expectations
  • Data Quality Management: Ensure business readiness for adoption and improvement of data quality and help facilitate Data Quality strategy 
  • Feature development: Work closely with business and IT to translate requirements into user stories, created detailed product specifications and oversee the development and testing process
  • Stakeholder Management: Foster strong working relationships with IT, operations, business architecture and management and maintain up to date reporting
  • Product and Project Management: Assess product performance, obtain user feedback, drive delivery plans and coordinate with other teams and applications to ensure the application works as intended and continues to improve and evolve 

 

Analytically skilled with technical curiosity

The optimal candidate has experience working with product management and digital solutions, without necessarily having any details IT / technical knowledge. Equally important are your analytical and communication skills, as well as your ability to navigate within a large matrix organization. It is also vital that you’re not afraid to challenge, to ensure we deliver thoroughly analysis, enterprise ready solutions, while still mastering the art of compromise.

 

As such, your profile could look like this;

  • Process savvy and analytically well-founded with a data-driven mindset. An ability to work with complex data and processes – ideally, but not necessarily, within the Transport and logistics industry 
  • Efficient communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex ideas and building consensus, among stakeholders and potentially opposing priorities 
  • Idea generator with a passion for solving problems and delivering outstanding user experience
  • Result driven and ambitious – we keep our promises and the pace is always high
  • Written and verbal corporate English language skills
  • Understanding of project management principles
  • Basic understanding of supply chain and agile principles is an advantage
