Support and guide DSV Trailer workshops to ensure efficient workflows

DSV Global Equipment Service is one of the world’s leading internal rental companies with extensive expertise in trailers and material handling equipment. We are doers, constantly going above and beyond. Our drive to innovate and optimize keeps supply chains flowing smoothly. Every part matters, every second counts, and each member of our team is committed to going the extra mile, because we understand the dedication it takes to keep the world moving.

"This role isn't for just anyone, it's for the right one," says Manager Ronni Rosendal.

Welcome to DSV Workshops

This newly created position offers an exciting opportunity to join DSV's Truck & Trailer Workshop Department. The department consists of 60 passionate colleagues who manage the operation and maintenance of our trailers at workshops across Europe. DSV operates 5 workshops, strategically located at key transport hubs in Denmark, Sweden, and The Netherlands.

Technical oversight, development, and alignment

As the right candidate, your daily tasks will involve advising and guiding workshop teams to ensure smooth operations at our DSV workshops. With the appropriate training, your key focus areas will include:

  • Daily overall management of 2 DSV workshops (Horsens, DK, and Venlo, NL) and our service vans across Europe.
  • Conducting quality control on repairs and driving continuous optimization in our workshops.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of our workshop IT systems.
  • Supporting further digitalization efforts within the workshops.
  • Evaluating warranty claims.
  • Ensuring the efficiency and structure of our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Reviewing and advising on supplier invoices related to workshop services.
  • Driving growth and supporting the future development of DSV's workshop business.

You will be based in Denmark (either Horsens or Hedehusene) and will be required to travel frequently, mostly within Europe, with approximately 6 travel days per month.

"You won't get your hands dirty in this role. It’s primarily office-based but still involves a strong technical focus. You'll be the advisor, assessing repairs via images and ensuring optimal workflows. And you run the workshops like they’re your own," says Ronni.

Your qualifications

While formal education is not essential, the ideal candidate will have experience as a Workshop Manager or a similar technical role. It’s vital that you possess hands-on knowledge of equipment maintenance and workshop operations, enabling you to quickly adapt to the role. In addition, we expect you to be:

  • Comfortable in a dynamic environment, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Skilled in time management, capable of handling both urgent tasks and long-term projects within set deadlines.
  • A strong communicator, driven, and motivated to excel.
  • Willing to ask questions and constructively challenge existing processes.
  • Open-minded and understanding of different cultures, given the diverse nature of our department.

"It’s important that you are structured and maintain oversight to keep the technical aspects of the workshops under control. But equally, you must have good interpersonal skills and a service-oriented mindset. And of course, a good sense of humor, like the rest of us!" adds Ronni.
