Step into two cultures merging into one

In DSV Group Legal, you will lead our team for the Nordics and Baltics. The team consists of 4 experienced legal colleagues based in Denmark, Sweden, and Finland, and is responsible for customer contracts and legal advice from A-Z (except labor laws and tax). Given the latest major acquisition of Schenker into DSV, the team is currently merging its processes and combining cultures. The spirit is extraordinarily positive, and the team sees exciting times ahead.

Lead the team and manage the stakeholders

In this role, you will be an important go-to person for your team as you develop your team members and ensure their performance. Moreover, you will carry out stakeholder management of commercial management teams across the operational divisions (Air & Sea, Road, Contract Logistics) as well as Finance and administration. And you will act as a commercial sparring partner and train commercial teams.

Your role will span contract support, policy management, and litigation management in your cluster as you:

• Maintain a close relationship with commercial and operational stakeholders to ensure that key areas and tasks are dealt with.
• Ensure that team members perform in terms of contract review – transport and logistics, commercial, corporate, leases, etc.
• Ensure that team members perform in terms of corporate tasks as defined by the Group General Counsel and as aligned with stakeholders (such as integration of M&A).
• Plan and execute global, regional, or local projects as well as cross-division projects anchored in Group Legal.
• Assist in drafting, maintaining, and rolling out corporate policies for the DSV Group and ensure compliance with corporate policies.

Solid experience as both a lawyer and a people manager

You have a structured approach to your work and are able to stand your ground, get necessary messages across, and keep a cool head when things move quickly – which they usually do in our industry. Moreover, you are able to plan a project and drive the execution, while navigating the balance between quality and deadlines to ensure progress. And you thrive collaborating with colleagues across geography, functions, and cultures.

Finally, we imagine that you:

• Are an attorney-at-law with several years of experience as an in-house counsel or as a lawyer.
• Have several years of people management experience (perhaps managing people at a distance), and you have focused on people development.
• Have experience in international negotiation of commercial contracts.
• May have experience in transport and logistics. This is a clear advantage.
• Are fluent in both English and Danish.
