Job Req Number:  108441
Time Type: Full Time

Are you ready to spearhead the newly created area of data quality management, set its strategic priorities, and own the roadmap to its practical execution?

Then join us for a role where your decisions will ultimately enable our forwarding agents to provide an even higher level of service at the world’s leading player in the field of logistics and transportation.

“You will be forming an area that has a major impact on DSV. Which, apart from ample resources, gives you a great opportunity for professional and personal development,” says Senior Manager, Data Management and Governance, Søren Kai Christensen.

Join an inclusive team with a massive impact

You will join the Data Management & Governance team within Enterprise Data Excellence, where our aim is to unlock the full potential of data at an enterprise level. This means that we are responsible for data management and governance within DSV as a corporation.

The team consists of 8 colleagues today, but we are also recruiting 2 other senior product managers for reference and metadata, respectively. We are a diverse group in terms of nationality, seniority, and professional backgrounds – and we excel at using this to our advantage.

“We value and welcome different perspectives and we appreciate that every one of us adds something unique,” Søren continues.

You bridge strategy, analysis and execution

Your first step will be to create the strategy for data quality management, which will include where to focus our efforts and assess whether data within systems and applications is currently fit for purpose. Once the strategy is approved by executive management, it is your job to ensure its execution.

Representing data quality as a knowledge area, you will participate in building DSV’s Enterprise Data Platform (internally called our EDP programme).

Some of your tasks will be to:

  • Define and own the enterprise-wide Data Quality Strategy, identifying priority domains, critical data elements, and the maturity roadmap required to elevate DSV’s data quality posture globally
  • Embed Data Quality as a sustainable discipline, partnering with business units to define accountabilities, support change adoption, and ensure long-term compliance with governance and lifecycle requirements
  • Establish and govern enterprise-wide Data Quality standards, KPIs, and dimensions, ensuring consistency in measurement, reporting, and remediation across all business units, platforms, and processes
  • Decide which change initiatives we need to undertake and which technologies need to be deployed to enhance data quality
  • Monitor data quality trends and convert these into concrete requirements for data analysis across various domains, carried out by our data analysts
  • Integrate the findings from the analyses into our business
  • Ensure that our data models are fit for purpose, align with data governance standards, and reflects the life cycle within a domain context

A data expert with well-developed interpersonal skills

Being energised by working in a high-performance environment, you have the drive to create progress through others, as you foster productive relationships with various SME’s and other stakeholders.

Moreover, we imagine that you:

  • Have a minimum of 4-7 years of experience in data product ownership or data management
  • Have a formal education in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business, complemented by industry certifications such as DAMA CDMP, DCAM, or experience working in agile delivery environments
  • Bring deep expertise in data quality frameworks, dimensions, controls, and lifecycle management, with hands-on experience applying these at enterprise scale across complex system landscapes
  • Have a strong understanding of data quality management frameworks, data architecture, governance, lifecycle management, and best practices
  • Perhaps have a certification in data management or experience from an agile environment
