We’re looking for an experienced Project Specialist to join our team based in Perth. The project specialist is responsible for operational management around freight forwarding for clients involved in Mining, Gas and Industrial Projects.

 

 

Your typical day at DSV: 

  • Coordinate and execute project logistics across all modes of transport, including general freight, breakbulk, out-of-gauge (OOG), heavy-lift, and heavy haulage shipments. 

  • Work actively with service providers across all modes of transport and be able to source competitive rates. 

  • Assist with tender submissions in the areas of planning, execution and pricing in time frames required 

  • Assist in the development and expansion of customer relationships, client base and client retention 

  • Order tracking & follows up with job registrations 

  • Ability to problem solve and  with a range of stakeholders including but not to limited: airlines, shipping lines, transport providers, co-loaders and customers. 

  • Take bookings and liaise with customers when organising required transport 

  • Communicate regularly & provide strong customer care whilst servicing our customer and service providers needs 

  • Investigating issues where required for service failures or customer problems

  • Experience in job closures and invoicing

 

About you: 

  • Project freight forwarding experience preferred  

  • Attention to detail and accuracy of data input 

  • Complete paperwork in a clear, legible and accurate manner. 

  • Prioritizing and time management 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office  

  • CW1 knowledge is preferred
